What you’ll do

As the Associate Brand Manager, you will support with the development of the long-term strategic direction that will achieve sales, share and increase household penetration for KIND Canada. You will also support both the short- and long-term innovation strategy. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, a keen sense of creativity, and a high degree of comfort working in a team environment. And this is how you'll do it...

  • Equity (Media and Creative)
    • Assist in delivering the marketing mix with ownership of specific executions in partnership with external agency partners
    • Manage brand website and Digital Asset Management (DAM) updates
    • Monitor category and competitor media spending, consolidating for internal review and planning
  • Category Insights & Sales Support
    • Monitor brand performance vs. objectives and identify issues and opportunities. Recommend strategies and tactics to take advantage of market opportunities and mitigate risks
    • Develop deep understanding of the brand as well as the Healthy Snacks Category, conducting monthly assessments as well as ad-hoc analysis based on Nielsen, POS, and shipment data
    • Develop Sales toolkit to assist with selling and implementation of programs, including sell stories, assortment recommendations, price lists and merchandizing
  • Innovation & Renovation
    • Lead the commercialization process for innovation through collaboration with the US, supply chain and sales and trade marketing
    • Lead product reform and renovation projects, working closely with cross-functional team
    • Lead packaging updates due to any reformulations, die-line changes etc.
  • Cross-functional Leadership
    • Cultivate strong working relationships with both internal (sales, R&D, operations, global brand partners etc.) and external (agency, packaging designs/suppliers, etc.) partners
  • Budget Ownership
    • Identify and manage the brand’s budget spend and monitor on a monthly basis

You have…

  • 2-3 years of Marketing experience, cross functional exposure to other Business Operations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • General knowledge of the Canadian Retail Customer landscape
  • Understanding of commercialization process within CPG preferred
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of Syndicated Data (Nielsen, Customer POS, Panel Data, Insights)
  • Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Office, powerpoint, Excel)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal and time management skills
Pluses

  • Bilingual with proficiency in both written and verbal
