MediaValet Announces Definitive Agreement to be Acquired
DAM vendor MediaValet have just announced their acquisition by capital market company Symphony Technology Group (STG) for an approximate transaction value of $80 million. The press release focuses heavily on gaining a “premium valuation” and “immediate cash value” for its shareholders. Last year, STG acquired AVID, the creators of long-established, prosumer audio-visual software titles such as Sibelius and Pro Tools in a $1.4 billion deal, along with project management platform Wrike for an undisclosed amount.
