DAM software tool vendor Santa Cruz Software have just announced an update t their LinkrUI platform. Version 2.90 introduces new features to streamline asset management, including a split list view, transparency grid, full WEBP format support, and larger preview images. It also integrates with Figma, enhancing design workflows, and adds new DAM system integrations like Coconutbox and EasyDB. Other enhancements include an improved filter UI and easier sorting access. LinkrUI now offers three different versions depending upon your workflow: Creative Cloud, Office, and Social.
DAM Salary Survey Results Now Available
Salaries and working conditions for Digital Asset Managers have improved significantly since 2012, according to the most recent DAM Salary survey results, conducted and compiled by Elizabeth Keathley, Lisa Grimm, Deb Fanslow, and Jennifer Tyner. Findings show the median full-time salary is $99,000, with experience being the key factor influencing pay, whilst the highest earners now top out well below the previous upper limit of $350,000. Despite concerns about low wages, well-paid roles fill quickly, while lower-paying jobs tend to remain advertised longer. Nearly half of roles are fully remote, and location no longer affects pay. DAM vendor Fotoware has recently announced a rebrand of its core products to better reflect their capabilities: Fotoware Veloz (formerly Fotoware DAM) focuses on speed and efficiency, while Fotoware Alto (previously Fotoware Content Platform) offers structured content workflows. According to the press release, these changes align with industry demands for scalable, metadata-driven DAM solutions. Fotostation remains a key desktop tool, and on-premises solutions are still available.
