Paul Melcher of visual tech magazine Kaptur interviews founder of Geniverse, Javier IdeamiGeniverse is a platform to help creators interact with generating prompts for the growing number of AI-assisted image creation tools, such as OpenAI’s DALL-E.  Javier discusses a number of topics, including differences between his platform and those from Google and Microsoft, what measures Geniverse implements to prevent misuse, and how so-called ‘prompt engineering’, or guiding AI architectures is here to stay.  An engaging and timely article, considering the current excitement that AI-based image generation tools are creating.

Building games and apps entirely through natural language using OpenAI’s code-davinci model

Continuing with the theme of AI, this recent article from Andrew Mayne, author and Science Communicator, test-drives OpenAI’s code-davinci model by creating a number of simple games and applications.  Created using natural language instruction, and without writing a single line of code, Andrew’s demonstrations include tic-tac-toe (noughts and crosses for our UK readers), a simple Wordle-type game, and a VR-maze.  Also included are the prompts that Andrew used, along with a breakdown of the process in general and the issues he encountered.
