DAM Event Updates – 12th May 2021
Next week, there are a number of DAM related events taking place.
On Wednesday 19th May, taxonomy software provider Synaptica will be hosting Ontology for Knowledge Graphs. This free to attend webinar will be exploring the adoption of knowledge graphs and how they can benefit the overall information ecosystem.

The Library and Information Association CILIP will be hosting part one of their two-part course on Advanced Copyright on Thursday 20th May. The course is aimed at anyone who works with copyright within their organisation and wishes to find out about the latest developments in technology, along with how to adopt best practices and identify their individual role and responsibilities.
The cost for both sessions starts from £180, with discounts for members. Part two will take place on 27th May.
Part 1 Learning Objectives:
- Consider related statutory, regulatory and operational requirements
- Be updated about developments in licensing
- Consider the role of a Copyright Officer during the changing working environment as a result of COVID-19
- Understand in detail the exceptions to copyright and how they can be applied
