DAM Capability Model Introductory Overview with David H. Lipsey

The workshop will introduce the widely used Digital Asset Management Capability Model (DCM) - a benchmarking tool designed to provide your organization with a "map" of how DAM is being used at your organization against industry standards drawn from DAM users over the past decades.   The DCM helps you create (or update) the “roadmap” of where DAM is today and help to identify what seems most important to work on.  The workshop creates an updated “baseline” that can be referred to in the coming years as you can (and should) revisit the DAM Capability Model on a periodic basis.  The outcome will be for participants to gain a sense of community purpose and emerge with an understanding of a helpful, proven approach for a DAM roadmap.  Ultimately, the DCM can also help departments understand their roles in DAM workflows and their place in contributing to and being responsible for the shape of DAM - wherever you work.
