AI in Art: Revolutionizing Creativity or Threatening Authenticity

Friday December 15th, 2023 @ 12:00pm - 1:00pm EST
Not Specified

Join us for a freewheeling discussion of the fascinating subject of artificial intelligence as it relates to art. What can it do? Where is it headed? Are there risks to artists? What are the ethical and philosophical ramifications? How can artists use the new technology in their own art?

A prolific artist, writer, musician, and computer security expert, Karl Schmitz is uniquely qualified to discuss this subject. He currently serves as Vice President of the Mosaic Arts Collective. He previously ran the IBM z Systems Center For Secure Engineering, earning a spot in the Mainframe Hall of Fame for his contributions to computer security.
