Adobe Express vs. Canva vs. BannersUI: Comparing Ad Design Tools
Digital Asset Management tool vendor Santa Cruz Software compare their BannersUI with Adobe Express and popular web-based design platform Canva. The AI-powered BannersUI stacks up well against its competitors, allowing designers to create templates that ensure brand consistency, whilst offering a broad range of features including automatic layout and resizing, multi-artboard view, image editing and animation. Additional functionality such as advanced video editing and Figma/Sketch imports will be rolled out in the coming months.

Now in its fourth year, Activo Consulting‘s free to attend event has quickly established itself as one of Europe’s most engaging and dynamic gatherings of DAM, PIM and CMS experts, vendors and users. Additional videos, photographs, testimonials, speakers, sponsors and a breakdown of the two-day agenda can be found over at the dedicated OnDAM website.

Optional extras: 5 features most requested by charities
This mini-series from DAM software provider ResourceSpace highlights the five most common add-ons requested by clients in the charity sector. First up is consent management and choosing which actions are triggered when asset consent expires. Adding custom terms and conditions for different user groups is another popular request. The resource usage plugin allows users to track digital asset downloads by keeping a detailed log, providing insights into access and usage. Related resources is also a commonly requested feature, allowing groups of assets to be linked and associated with one another – if any member of a related group is shown, the linked content is also shown. Finally, the External Upload Link feature allows users without a ResourceSpace account to upload files into a pending state for admins to review, approve and publish.

Michiel presents his insights into the trends and technologies that are revolutionising the way we access, share and engage with digital collections in museums and cultural institutions. Topics covered include visual search (using image recognition and AI tools to search without metadata or keywords), augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR).
