Adobe Accepts AI-Generated Images, Indemnifies Buyers
In light of the recent wave of copyright concerns surrounding AI generated art by platforms such as DALL-E and Midjourney, the recent announcement by graphics giant Adobe that it will be accepting such submissions on its stock website could herald a new direction in an industry that has previously outlawed them. Further to allowing AI imagery, Adobe has also announced that it will be indemnifying its customers’ use of such content by protecting buyers should any legal challenges arise. The move sits nicely with their Content Authenticity Initiative, which aims to promote the adoption of an industry standard that allows tracking of digital content authorship and provenance.
