Featured Job – Digital Asset Data Coordinator, Oakland Museum of California – 29th October 2021
This week’s featured position is for a Digital Asset Coordinator for the Oakland Museum of California. Responsible for the upkeep of non-collection digital assets, the successful candidate will undertake a broad range of DAM-related tasks, including upload, ingestion, and cataloguing digital assets, along with implementation and planning of the DAM system itself. User adoption and training is also part of the role, along with working on digital asset taxonomies and metadata guidelines. Candidates must be familiar with DAM standards and working within a museum environment. A degree in Museum Studies, Information Management or a similar fields is also required.
“The Digital Asset Data Coordinator is responsible for the daily management of OMCA’s non-collections digital assets, created or sourced by Marketing & Communications, Education, Development, Membership, and Visitor Experience staff. Working together with the Collections Data and Media Systems Administrator and the Digital Asset Data Coordinator-Collections, they will aid in further development of the museum’s DAMS support of non-collections assets through workflow and organizational vocabulary development, ensuring metadata consistency and accessibility.” [Read More]
