FotoWare acquires Buildpix AB to strengthen position in Sweden and the Nordics
Digital Asset Management software provider FotoWare have announced their recent acquisition of Swedish reseller Buildpix. The merger, orchestrated by software investor Viking Venture, is FotoWare’s first acquisition, and is set to increase their market share in Nordic regions, along with bringing additional customer service, retail, and delivery strategy expertise to the table.
The Digital Services Act, The Markets Act and More EU Regulations for Big Tech in 2021
Following on from a recent DAM News feature article by Anne Gretland that discusses copyright concerns following Brexit, this article from Wordify founder Kaya Ismali explores two additional regulations that will impact ‘Big Tech’ in the coming year. The Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA) are a single set of rules intended to protect digital service users (i.e. everyone that uses an internet-enabled website or app) and create a more level playing field by imposing large fines on tech companies that demonstrate anti-competitive or monopolistic practices.
