Job description
We have an urgent need to bring an industry classification & taxonomy expert onboard on a contract basis, to support our clients with evaluating and selecting the right classification standards to support their backbone taxonomy.
Job requirements
You must have extensive knowledge of the industrial distribution industry, the classification standards within this industry.
You will be responsible for
We have an urgent need to bring an industry classification & taxonomy expert onboard on a contract basis, to support our clients with evaluating and selecting the right classification standards to support their backbone taxonomy.

You must have extensive knowledge of the industrial distribution industry, the classification standards within this industry.
You will be responsible for
- educating our client on taxonomies, standards and the benefits
- carrying out initial evaluations of our clients buy-side categories and family taxonomy requirements
- investigating and recommending different industry standards
- facilitating the agreement of what the backbone taxonomy will be (industry standard, bespoke or hybrid)
- act as the ongoing taxonomy expert
- you will understand standards such as UNSPC, SIC, NAICS, NIGP, FSC, eCl@ss, ETIM, and others
