Sr. Technical Program Manager, Prime Video, Global Asset Management & Delivery

We are seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our Global Asset Management & Delivery team in PV Marketing Creative Production & Operations. In this role you’ll partner with asset managers, production teams, external stakeholders, and engineering teams to create Hollywood’s most innovative and efficient digital marketing infrastructure. You’ll define and deploy tools and processes that drive a rich media pipeline for PV’s growing slate of the world’s best content, and you’ll strategize, think big, and help define new ways of managing assets from capture through the creative process.

You will drive the technology vision from evaluation through successful implementation, while scaling technology solutions as needed. You’ll partner with production and post-production executives, program managers and other campaign managers to deliver new tools and capabilities to re-invent PV Marketing’s asset management processes with innovative technology.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define and build the technology roadmap and customer experiences for Asset Management & Delivery DAMs, MAMs, and related systems managing raw and work-in-progress assets
  • Define user stories, product features, and technology strategy and solutions
  • Perform product analysis (primarily MAM/DAM systems) and process analysis (asset and metadata management processes)
  • Collaborate with Asset Managers, business stakeholders, engineers, and technical support teams to deliver features and services
  • Develop and implement complex media workflows across multiple platforms and asset stages, with a particular focus on RAW and WIP asset management
  • Implement Content Security protocols for storing, sharing, delivering, and publishing media
  • Develop and implement plans for long-term archive and disaster recovery
  • Influence the strategic direction (business and technology) for PV Marketing, with an initial focus on emerging Production Asset Management priorities
  • Handle complex development and management scenarios
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Create SOPs and technical documentation
  • Ensure asset managment use cases are clearly understood, documented, and translated into technical deliverables
  • Collaborate with Amazon Studios & AWS technical & engineering teams to align, streamline, and unify shared tools and processes
A day in the life

As Sr. Technical Program Manager you’ll be part of our Production Asset Management practice, and delivering results for our biggest productions will be a central part of your work. You’ll perform deep analysis of our current infrastructure, and help design and implement improvements that will have broad impact on workflows and tooling functionalities for internal and external stakeholders. You’ll streamline current processes and provide governance related to asset access, sharing, and delivery from point of capture through work-in-progress to finalized marketing assets. You’ll provide thought-leadership about ways to deploy technology to address complicated media supply chain challenges, and your work will have broad, positive impact.


  • 5+ years of technical program management in a media & entertainment context
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Prior experience in building software products in the Media & Entertainment industry

  • 7+ years working in program management, media engineering, or digital asset management in a media & entertainment context (Studio and/or Marketing support a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, product, and marketing/studios counterparts to deliver products/services
  • Experience handling high risk content
  • Deep knowledge of video, audio, and image encoding formats and industry best practices
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working on or with large-scale, global creative marketing campaigns
  • Experience with metadata management, best-practices, and standards
  • Proven experience with MAM/DAM management, digital media workflow orchestration, and related tools/technologies
  • Experience supporting non-technical stakeholders and working across multiple teams and regions
