The Cardinal Health Pharma eCommerce team is looking for a Digital Asset Management (DAM) Owner to lead the eCommerce Digital Asset Management efforts for Cardinal Health’s web ordering platforms.
The DAM Owner will join the Cardinal Health Pharma eCommerce team in implementing a digital asset management (DAM) system that will serve the day-to-day needs of the eCommerce team and partners, as well as support digital assets related to the Cardinal Health Pharma eCommerce ordering platform and potential future Cardinal Health digital experiences. Through the creation and documentation of metadata standards, workflows to catalog, ingest, and approve assets, as well as training procedures, the DAM Owner will help to manage digital assets, ensure they are appropriately described, and prepare appropriate assets to be available to the eCommerce team, partners, and eventually to the public.
Accountabilities:
The DAM Owner will join the Cardinal Health Pharma eCommerce team in implementing a digital asset management (DAM) system that will serve the day-to-day needs of the eCommerce team and partners, as well as support digital assets related to the Cardinal Health Pharma eCommerce ordering platform and potential future Cardinal Health digital experiences. Through the creation and documentation of metadata standards, workflows to catalog, ingest, and approve assets, as well as training procedures, the DAM Owner will help to manage digital assets, ensure they are appropriately described, and prepare appropriate assets to be available to the eCommerce team, partners, and eventually to the public.
Accountabilities:
- Own the daily maintenance and usability of the DAM include having the core skills for user/group management and configuration of security policies.
- Manage the creation, maintenance, and execution of metadata and taxonomy structure.
- Maintain an understanding of industry standards for metadata management.
- Perform bulk updates to asset metadata (tied to search/filtering optimization).
- Deploy search indexing and faceted filtering optimization.
- Monitor existing use cases and propose future use cases.
- Develop governance parameters as part of solution structure.
- Act as a DAM ambassador to drive adoption.
- Perform onboarding training for new users to ensure adoption.
- Normalize and monitor content quality, usage, and rights.
- Document bugs and feature improvements and communicate effectively to technology resources.
- Stay current on emerging trends in the DAM space.
- Monitor and troubleshoot workflows.
- Run standard reports and summarize trends for asset usage, adoption, and delivery.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 4-5 years previous experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
- 3+ years previous experience successfully deploying and supporting DAMs.
- Advanced knowledge of DAM systems, including infrastructure, functional capability, integration capability, taxonomy, governance and metadata.
- Library Science specialization preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, execute and present reporting and derive insights from findings.
- Collaborative and able to work closely and effectively with a variety of functions and businesses.
- Demonstrated diligence and ability to follow through on all commitments (internal and external stakeholders).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Strong background in and understanding of technology and eCommerce.
- Ability to work well across the organization and with 3rd parties.
- Computer literacy with the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
