Perficient is excited to offer a career opportunity for a Senior Content Architect / Taxonomist, working remotely from any location in the continental US (with the ability to work within EST or CST business hours).

As a senior consultant, you will join Perficient's Digital Marketing group, reporting to the Content Practice Director. You will serve as a lead strategist on client accounts, driving project teams toward successful information architecture and taxonomy delivery.

The ideal candidate will seamlessly blend strong client management skills with content strategy expertise, rooted in a sound understanding of website architecture, taxonomy, user experience (UX), content modeling and migrations as well as clients' user needs and business goals. A cultural fit on this team requires an agile intellect, a willingness to stretch, fast-paced creativity, and a passion for all things content marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Leading or co-leading client engagements that integrate work streams such as: personalization, globalization, and omnichannel messaging strategy; content audit, strategy, development, and governance; information architecture (IA), card sorting/tree testing, taxonomy, and content modeling; keyword research, link building, and content optimization for SEO and UX; as well as migration planning, URL mapping, and content authoring.
  • Planning information architecture and taxonomy models including use cases, data models, information structure design, data flow diagrams, navigation, vocabulary standards, keyword research, and metadata management designs.
  • Developing content strategies and programs in collaboration with the client, other internal stakeholders and lines of business on program execution. In doing so, you will act as trusted adviser on content efforts, leveraging insights about their business challenges and opportunities as inputs.
  • Recommending new initiatives that drive future client growth, and provide an experience that culminates in innovative, results-oriented work product.
  • Delivering content programs and projects on time and on budget. Critical to this position is your ability to analyze project requirements, organize and prioritize tasks, identify risks early, and manage the content program process efficiently.
  • Providing direction and oversight to multidisciplinary team members supporting content program execution, and guiding their efforts through the entire project lifecycle.
Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience managing corporate and/or client content or UX programs.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage digital content programs through the entire project lifecycle, including strategy, planning, execution, reporting, and maintenance. Example digital content programs include content audits and migrations, content strategies, optimized web content development, website personalization, etc.
  • Experience working with clients and internal stakeholders to develop content program plans, client presentations and other professional communications.
  • Proven success managing and delivering organization structures with a data-driven approach, and general experience applying those capabilities within different web environments and enterprise CMS/DXPs – such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Sitecore, Drupal, Optimizely, SharePoint – as well as familiarity with DAMs, PIMs, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO and user experience (UX) principals used to inform website architecture and taxonomy.
  • Familiarity with user testing platforms such as Optimal Workshop and design tools such as Figma.
  • Experience setting and communicating priorities to project teams, while managing multiple, often fast-paced projects simultaneously.
  • Client-centric work ethic and ability to motivate and foster a sense of teamwork among project team members and the client.
  • The professionalism, confidence and attention to detail necessary to earn the respect of client executives, peers and project team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
