Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Sr. Consultant, Digital Asset Manager as an integral part of the Digital Content Strategy and Operations Team, responsible for ensuring enterprise digital asset governance processes, and principles in the creation and management of digital assets. This is a "creative operator" role, critical to driving the team vision and demonstrating expertise in workflow and governance standards and processes around asset management. This role champions the efficiency and effectiveness of digital asset creation, findability, and usability.

As a member of the Digital Content Strategy and Operations team, you will be responsible for the management and governance of enterprise-wide digital assets within the Digital Asset Management (eDAM) system, AEM DAM. You will continuously and strategically assess and improve the eDAM platform and ensure that it continues to provide value. In addition, you are also responsible for defining and discovering the needs for legal requirements, asset research, renewals, expirations, and process documentation to support the ingestion of digital assets into the AEM DAM and their delivery across various digital channels.

You will manage the development and review of digital assets for sites, email, and social media channels, etc., maintain successful design and implementation of digital initiatives and omnichannel campaigns, organize the flow of information and assets to and from the creative team, and monitor adherence to brand standards and governance.

Success in this role relies on an individual's understanding of content governance and asset management and the ability to build and maintain productive interpersonal relationships while juggling multiple people, processes, and systems within specific timelines.

The position is based in Fort Mill, SC (just outside of Charlotte, NC), and is remote work approved.  The general working days are Monday-Friday.  Occasionally, weekend work is required to assist in technology releases related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the eDAM.  

What will you do?

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to identify and assure the publishing of governed digital assets; foster cross-functional teamwork and collaboration to set goals, solve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness and make decisions that are in the best interest of the firm
  • As a system administrator, manage ingestion, storage, integration, cataloging, delivery, and auditing of assets while continuously looking for efficiencies in these processes, standard operating procedures, and workflows; upload, organize, and manage brand assets in a way that is easy for target audiences to find and use the asset they need
  • Edit, improve, and maintain the DAM policies, procedures, and training materials
  • Lead the training program and act as the primary point of contact for ongoing training for the AEM DAM; train stakeholders on DAM organizational structure and governance systems and processes
  • Identify and elevate challenges and opportunities in managing governed digital assets, working to present the best overall solution
  • Document, maintain, and improve SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for asset upload, download, renditioning, publishing, and deactivation across asset sharing systems
  • Manage legal restrictions, rights, and approved usage
  • Audit assets for accuracy in metadata schema
  • Manage user groups, security, and permissions
  • Create training and support for DAM users
  • Lead governance as it relates to digital assets charged with prioritizing system and policy changes, configurations, and communications
  • Assist with the implementation of taxonomy, metadata, and classification standards/framework for digital assets to effectively manage the lifecycle of assets from upload to publication to archive
  • Create a reporting dashboard the tracks, audits, and monitors established digital asset usage, success metrics, and performance indicators
The Digital Asset Manager shares accountability for the following:

  • Share and promote asset management and governance best practices
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at promoting and improving Content Operations efficiencies related to digital assets
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to improve asset production pipelines
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, and the technology team to develop and maintain essential tools for asset workflow, creation, delivery, and auditing

What skills, experiences, and education are required?

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in digital asset creation and management.
  • 3+ years of experience with digital asset management systems (DAM), content management systems (CMS), project management, and analytics tools. Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), SmartSheet, and Workfront a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with digital media hosting platforms (i.e., Vidyard, Vimeo, Brightcove, YouTube, Wistia) and the various tagging and integration specifications.
  • Experience administering cloud-based file-sharing services (Box, Dropbox)
  • Experience administering DAM platform technology (WebDAM, preferred)
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Digital Asset Management and Governance processes and tools (currently:  AEM, WorkFront, DAM, SOLR Search, and Content HUB).
  • Deep understanding of metadata, taxonomy, data architecture and search optimization
  • Ability to build productive and reciprocal relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrates strong strategic and innovative thinking and practical organizational planning skills.
  • Experience with digital media hosting platforms (i.e., Vidyard, Vimeo, Brightcove, YouTube, Wistia) and the various tagging and integration specifications.
  • Comfortable working in a "start-up like," fast-paced and fluid environment.
  • An experienced organizational change agent; familiar with the ADKAR change methodology a plus
