Data Management is a newly formed team at Dunelm who are charged with unlocking and utilising the value of data and information. Covering all aspect of good data management, we work closely with colleagues across Dunelm to; define data policies, optimise processes, ensure data is of high-quality and available to the right people at the right time.

We have exciting plans with the implementation of a new PIM, re-platforming of our data estate and a new data governance framework (to name a few). It’s a great time to join our team

The role:

  • Build-up / Grow the MDM practice, defining and embedding Master Data Management principles for Dunelm
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, and uncover opportunities to deliver business value
  • Participate in the development of master data management strategies, implementation roadmaps and business cases.
  • Analyse existing quality of master data, develop a gap analysis and define a Master Data Management roadmap alongside Product and Data Owners
  • Understand and evaluate business processes, enabling to successfully translate business needs into information and data requirements.
  • Work with the Product, Engineering and Architecture teams to design and support the development of Master Data Management solutions.
  • You will hold overall responsibility for Master Data provision and its associated processes, leading multi team teams and driving the highest standard of data governance and compliance an ensuring excellence is maintained throughout various business units and in line with KPI's and SLA's.
  • You will set the agenda and standards for driving process improvements, workflow solutions and digitalisation, working closely with Data Owners.
  • Ensure the development and documentation of processes/ templates to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity within the Master Data Governance setup
  • Identify and analyse areas for data quality improvements/ simplifications together with business process owners and help to resolve data quality issues through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction
  • Understand strategic drivers and tactical needs to ensure that engineering teams can provide solutions that meet the business needs with the necessary stability, usability, and scalability
  • Own MDM and ensure it is placed in strategic projects where applicable

Qualifications

Who you are:

  • An experienced and strong manager or senior team leader
  • The ability to deliver to tight deadlines and to be resilient, capable of prioritising regularly to meet the needs of a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Change management skills and demonstrable experience implementing new processes, improving the overall Master Data process.
  • You apply a holistic approach to (Master) data management, quality principles, technological solutions and a change in culture, supporting the realisation of business objectives
  • You have a strong understanding of data-related regulation, such as GDPR and PECR
  • Experience managing and executing data cleansing, data mapping processes and data migration projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with “can do “mentality
  • You can influence senior management colleagues, with good communication skills and strong presentational skills.
  • You are result-oriented with expert problem solving and analytical skills.
  • You have (hands-on) experience in solving challenges for master data management, data quality problems or complex data integration.
