Product Owner, Digital Asset Management

The Technical Product Owner creates product road-map, defines the strategic vision for their team driven by the overall vision, and owns the architectural decisions for the team. They have a deep understanding of the target market/industry and build close relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that the team’s effort is aligned with overall strategy.

Requirements

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provides product management services on a product, applying functional expertise to improve product results.
  • Collaborates with small cross-functional teams to demonstrate best practices that drive significant change to the client experience.
  • Coaches product teams towards best practices and learnings.  Ensures delivery of messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessary.
  • Partners with stakeholders to resolve production and implementation issues in a timely manner, and supports/drives escalations where required to enable rapid delivery.
  • Leads the planning, development and implementation of a new product.  Defines and analyzes markets, developing detailed product features and requirements, and developing implementation plans.
  • Employs a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience.
  • Participates in and provides recommendations for ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years related work experience. Two years of managing a project preferred. Financial Services or function-specific experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Additional Job Description

A Technical Product Owner:

  • Manages dependencies with other team’s functions while identifying, building and managing strategic partnership across the different teams. They work closely within their team to ensure business value and user feedback is translated into new developments when necessary. 
  • Has deep understanding of Digital Asset Management, automated asset workflows and enabling interoperability with MRM tools and consumer-facing channels to support creative collaboration, dynamic sharing and distribution of assets
  • Has knowledge of Enterprise Content Management technologies, especially implementing Adobe Experience Cloud suite of products
  • Drives the team’s engineering practices in test driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
  • Hands-on team member who actively coaches the team to solve complex problems. They would define, execute, and obtain buy-in for the Enterprise Digital Asset Management platform product vision, strategy, and road-map based on business/marketing needs, market trends and insights, platform performance and usage analytics.
  • They would understand how internal Vanguard divisions/marketing teams will need to engage, utilize, and integrate with content and digital asset management platforms to uncover unmet and emerging needs of our business.
  • They would study market trends, partner with other Product Managers and Engineering to develop a long-term vision for industry-leading, integrated digital asset management platform that allows for future growth and revenue opportunities.
  • They would partner with architects and digital asset strategists on the standards, methodologies, and governance for organizing and configuring content in the digital asset management system.
  • Ensure information architecture and digital asset strategy are effectively carried out in the DAM system by providing oversight and input to digital asset modeling and specifications for component management.
  • They would understand how Digital Asset Management Platform initiatives connect back to the Enterprise MarTech Road-map and ultimately deliver value to Vanguard clients and internal divisional stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communications, combined with technical acumen, understanding of leading marketing tools and platforms (digital asset management, website content management, content experience, content marketing etc.), and scaled agile
  • Experience working with a team of product owners to integrate and connect the Adobe Experience Cloud suite of products (e.g., Adobe AEM Sites, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Audience Manager, and Adobe Campaign)
  • Has experience managing data used in real-time personalization and optimization
  • Has experience with web application design and development for desktop, mobile, connected tv and back-end services/APIs is a plus

Typical candidates will possess 6+ years of relevant experience​

  • CSPO certification preferred.​
  • 3+ years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational projects preferred​
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
