Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

Accountable to the Director, .COM & Publishing, you are responsible for rolling out the vision for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Sites & DAM)*, including the governance and roadmap of capabilities to enable deeper client experiences to drive sales and to provide support to other future state digital experience strategies for CIBC's digital banking assets and channels. In addition, you’ll monitor future Adobe releases for new capabilities, or functions that we would want to leverage to enhance our client experiences. To help deliver these new capabilities, you’ll work very closely with our technology partners in DCCT to align our vision and priorities across our roadmap and development needs. Last, you’ll continuously provide updates and training to our SMEs, authors and partners as new capabilities, components or templates are introduced.

*) Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) – AEM is a comprehensive content management system for building and reducing the complexity of delivering the right customer experiences by simplifying the management and delivery of our content and assets across our .com sites.

What a typical day/week looks like: Your typical day/week involves creative thinking, problem solving and communications. Creative thinking to continuously find solutions to push our capabilities and experiences in AEM. Problem solving to consultant on new authoring challenges or support authoring concerns, identifying new opportunities for improvement and developing new requirements. Communicating to our SMEs, authors and partners about changes and new capabilities, supporting weekly governance and backlog grooming, and soliciting feedback to support our continuous improvement lifecycle.

How you add value:  You’ll add value by ensuring AEM can deliver on the experiences our UX team develops and by constantly improving our capabilities in AEM. Next, you’ll add value by ensuring our authors can do their work quickly and effectively, allowing them to do more with the time they have, producing high quality outputs that meet or exceed our client’s expectations. Last, you’ll add value by upholding our team’s principals and tenants within AEM, embracing Digital’s guiding principles, and delivering on CIBC’s purpose.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Business Acumen and Relationship Building - Forge strong relationships with CIBC’s various teams, by working with the business and internal partners, with a strong understanding of the client needs and experiences across all channels. You are a great communicator, with the ability to provide authoritative analysis, interpretation, and recommendations to support and guide business partners to influence effective decision making. You have a proven ability to partner, build confidence and influence key stakeholders in the organization and you’re a self-starter.
  • Team Player – Act both Collaboratively and Autonomously. You will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with different LOBs within CIBC and learn how CIBC digital operates in a fun and positive team atmosphere.
  • Be Creative – Understanding the importance of content management systems like AEM and how it supports the creative and delivery process.  Recommendations will align with improving the AEM authoring capabilities, CIBC’s digital client experience, as well as digital channel engagement and sales. Excellent written communication skills are a strong plus.
  • Digital Savviness - Be comfortable learning about new tools and capabilities. Get exposed to industry best practices. Become a SME in Adobe Experience Manager and related products used to deliver the client experience.
  • Make an Impact – Shape, manage and influence best practices and future needs, influence AEM roadmaps and strategies. Working in partnership with team members and other CIBC Teams you will support business goals, objectives and KPIs. You will use data to drive strategic insights to improve and enhance digital strategic programs for CIBC and the Business.
