Summary: Maintains ownership over the company’s product master data files. Ensures that new SKUs are created in a timely and accurate manner and responsible for the ongoing data quality improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the execution of the company’s Data Governance policies as it relates to product data
  • Own and maintain our product taxonomy (product categories and hierarchy) and be the resident expert in how SKUs should be categorized with in the taxonomy
  • Create new taxonomy nodes when appropriate & develop category specific attributes where necessary
  • Drive improvement of existing data quality via enrichment activity
  • Create new SKUs in product file in accordance with data standards
  • Execute pricing changes in at the SKU level, working closely with the Sales Support Team (data owner)
  • Develop close working relationship with other functional areas & data owners such as Sourcing, Inventory, Product Development and Finance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot existing orders in the system with SKU issues
  • Ability to gain and utilize an understanding of T-Y/Harbor Linen and vendor products
  • Escalate any issues to Order Processing Manager
Qualifications:

  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Strong computer and typing skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and as part of as team
  • Superior Data Entry ability
Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; inventory software and order processing systems.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four year college degree preferred

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
