Operations Manager - Creative

The Operations Manager acts as the main point of contact between creative services and marketing. You will keep the creative services team buzzing by managing, assessing, responding to and assigning all creative requests. Working with your operations coordinator and the Creative Manager you will make strategic decisions about who work is assigned to and based on your learned knowledge of the clients, the resources at your disposal and your up to date status tracking of all projects. You are extremely detail oriented and organized, have a good understanding of marketing and creative and are able to identify inefficiencies and offer solutions to processes, and workflow. You have an eye for detail and the ability to ensure requests are completed as briefed.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage an Operations Coordinator (Traffic Coordinator).
  • Oversee the day-to-day trafficking of creative requests.
  • Manage the workload of internal studio staff.
  • Makes sure projects are properly tracked and all requirements are met within the designated time frame.
  • Ensure that project statuses are kept up to date and stakeholders are made aware of project updates.
  • Take ownership of the DAM system and ensure that is utilized to its full potential and always up to date.
  • Implement a seasonal production schedule to ensure DAM assets are current and available to marketing in advance.
  • Continually optimize workflow and processes to maintain optimal efficiency.
  • Facilitate efficient communication between various departments.
  • Ensure software licenses and stock accounts are current.
  • Effectively plan for future projects.
  • Attend meetings and project briefs as required.
  • Ensures that the Digital Asset Library is up to date and that all projects are archived accordingly.
  • Schedules meetings and presentations as required.
Job requirements

Requirements:

  • 5+ years working in an agency, in-house studio or similar role / environment.
  • An excellent communicator with a proven track record of developing talent.
  • University/College diploma/ degree in Marketing, Design, Project management or applicable field.
  • Excellent English communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate ideas, opportunities and challenges.
  • Positive, high energy, and motivated to learn.
  • Ability to excel in an ever changing and fast-paced team environment.
  • A passion for communications, advertising and media and a strong desire to learn.
