The Opportunity

Adobe Stock provides designers and businesses with access to 250+ million high-quality, curated, royalty-free photos, videos, illustrations, vector graphics, 3D assets, templates and audio files to fuel their creative projects. The Adobe Stock marketplace is integrated directly into Adobe desktop apps and Adobe’s relationship with creative professionals and commitment to quality user experiences are top priority. You will be in a key leadership position with respect to driving high-quality content, search and discovery experiences for both buyers and sellers who engage with Adobe Stock. The role will drive initiatives to optimize search results and content discoverability, enhance sales effectiveness and drive brand consistency for the dynamic, expanding Adobe Stock ecosystem.

What You'll Do

  • Implement and iterate metadata standards and scalable auditing processes for our diverse, complex, high-volume content marketplace — covering both retrospective and proactive review of creative content.
  • Scale systemic review of content for metadata compliance, clearly communicate keyword standards, work with Search Product to implement new search dictionary supporting multiple languages, prioritize and supervise team efforts for clean-up and metadata improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Creative Operations functions of Ingest, IP Compliance and Moderation, as well as with Content, Product, Analytics, Marketing and Machine Learning.
  • Design, implement and continually improve metadata methodologies, participate in taxonomy design and search projects.
  • Document and monitor metadata points of creation, processes, and systems. Define automated rules to bring efficiencies to metadata review/clean-up processes and improve time-to-market.
  • Implement an analytics-based, metadata quality scoring and reporting program to drive significant continuous improvement efforts with internal and external partners.
  • Develop and drive research, analysis and reporting processes to forecast/circumvent metadata quality issues and proactively adapt methodologies and processes.
  • Lead day-to-day activities and facilitate growth of FTE Metadata QC Analyst.
  • Run metadata quality and compliance initiatives; forge and maintain relationships with third-party vendors.
What You Need to Succeed

  • 5+ years of experience in metadata and digital asset management in the media and entertainment industry — direct experience working in a commercial/marketplace-focused context
  • Degree in Information Science, Library Science, or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Expertise in keywording, tagging and controlled vocabulary methodologies, taxonomy design, metadata schemas, analytics and metadata management technologies
  • Acute attention to detail, critical thinking skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with an entrepreneurial approach
  • Proven track record of effectively collaborating cross-functionally across a large, geographically-dispersed organization
  • Ability to translate sophisticated technical concepts into clear business requirements and communication
  • Adept at performing under high-volume, deadline-centric conditions
  • Proven ability to manage through change, adapt and thrive under disruptive circumstances
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications and command of Microsoft Office applications
Nice to Haves

  • Experience as a people manager
  • Digital fluency and scrappiness, including query languages like SQL or Hive, analytics tools like Adobe Analytics or Tableau, familiarity with data cleansing protocols using Python, Pandas, regular expressions
  • Foreign language skills desirable
