SUMMARY

We are seeking a Product Information Management (PIM) Manager. The PIM Manager will be responsible for management, hierarchy, creation, assignment, association, and definition of logic for all product and category-based attributes and images. This position will coordinate with PIM user groups within Altra to develop user guidelines, train users, and ensure data integrity, catalog creation and channel rules are followed.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced technical leader in the PIM space and have a passion for data, new technologies and will flex across various products and digital tools with the aptitude to drive business initiatives. You will work on high-impact projects, be empowered to understand customer needs, and make decisions that deliver business value. The role will partner closely with the eCommerce Manager, Web Services Manager, and Creative Services Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead data modeling, data standardization, data cleanup, data migration/conversion, software configurations, user-acceptance testing, deployments from development through production environments, and training.
  • Ensure the Product Information Management (PIM) & Syndication tools work with the OpCo’s (operating companies) data architecture to govern omnichannel data, quality, and processes.
  • Perform routine product information and digital asset audits to ensure information and digital assets are accurate throughout the eCommerce/Digital ecosystem.
  • Create standards as the PIM Data Quality and Workflow process expert, and act as a liaison between Creative, eCommerce and other PIM user groups.
  • Manage and ensure adherence to rules for large product loads, data quality, and workflow across multiple areas of business.
  • Support ongoing initiatives with internal OpCos and external stakeholders to expand data model and product attribution for new product categories
  • Evaluate images and products for completion and data integrity; organizes and reformats images for upload to Digital Asset Management system (DAM) as needed.
  • Manages and assigns work to PIM implementation partner (Aperture or future partners).
  • Support and onboard employees, OpCos and other stakeholders in the PIM system.
  • Drive change management through educating and proactively influencing commercial and business decisions that increase value to our marketing, commercial, and engineering teams.
  • Lead/co-lead future on-boarding of data into the software applications to support ERP’s, e-catalog ecommerce, website, business intelligence, other business systems, and external customer/distributor needs.
  • Proactively engage with inRiver leadership/account manager to understand their product roadmap and future upgrade and release plans to advocate for new functionality.
  • Collaborate with IT/web managers and PIM partners to plan PIM product releases, develop release project plan, manage release execution resources, coordinate workflow between cross function teams, end-user training, release rollout, and production support
  • Partner closely with system contributors and users to operationalize, monitor, and evolve PIM/DAM practices to achieve best-in-class content across products and customer platforms
  • Collaborate with system users and eCommerce/Web Team to understand short- and long-term objectives and then develop and ensure alignment with a strategic technical roadmap for the PIM
  • Decision maker for product information schema and standards
  • Govern the processes of publication to various external channels (print, web, distributors, etc.) with different timelines and requirements

Job Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in eCommerce Catalog Management and/or 2+ year of experience/working knowledge of INRIVER or similar PIM/DAM systems
  • Experience leading across multiple internal and external stakeholders and aligning multiple viewpoints into a shared vision and roadmap
  • A Bachelor's degree in science, business, marketing, or computer science required
  • Demonstrated expertise in understanding workflows and business process, identifying issues, and providing solutions that leverage PIM /DAM relevant technologies required
  • Proficiency with a PIM tool is required. inRiver preferred
  • Data Governance experience required
  • Strong data analytic skills and project management experience
  • Ecommerce experience preferred
  • Software implementation experience preferred
