The Opportunity:
The Digital Media Group of OpenText’s Digital Experience division is a software development organization that provides a Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions that serve as the foundation for customer-centric organizations. Everyone wants more rich media, images and video to engage their staff, partners and their customers. Our solution is a leading, innovative enterprise-class DAM that optimizes the management, use and distribution of rich media assets (images, designs, video, audio, 3D) at scale across the digital ecosystem (partners, customers, staff, agencies). Through best-in-class enterprise-level search, usability, security, scalability and TCO, we support millions of assets, petabytes of storage, and thousands of users, while optimizing operations, risk, integrations, and cost.
We are looking for talented, experienced software engineers to join the OpenText DAM Product Development organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop our award winning product by innovating on new ideas and methods. You will be part of a scrum team designing, developing, and delivering products in both SaaS and on premise environment. In this role, you will work closely with Product Management, QA, and operations as well as other R&D teams. You will mentor junior members of the team as well as collaborate with other groups within OpenText on best practices and techniques. - Being passionate about software development at all levels: architecture, design, implementation, test, and deployment.
- Communication both written and oral as well as communicating with software engineers and product managers globally.
- Delivering high quality software that is scalable, high-performing, and secure.
- Decomposing work into tasks that can be completed in days rather than weeks or months as a part of Scrum’s framework.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information systems or related fields and 5 years of experience developing enterprise class solutions.
- Full stack development using Java and UX frameworks such as React in a microservices based architecture.
- Minimum of 5 years working with Java.
- Practical experience creating and using RESTful APIs.
- Experience working with databases such SQL Server, Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Proven history of building enterprise software with a focus on performance, scaling, high availability, and security
- Practical Experience building, deploying, and debugging Docker images in a Kubernetes environment within Google, AWS and/or Azure is a plus
- Linux shell scripting is a plus.
