Your Role and Responsibilities
The CIO (Chief Information Office) Office, Design & Practice Partnerships within Kyndryl Canada has an immediate opening for an experienced Information Architect to focus on the organization of information within digital products and websites. To create the underlying taxonomies, ontologies and metadata models and designs the front-end navigational systems to enable users to easily find the information they need.
This position reports to the Head of Design and is part of a small Design team (less than 10 members). This position is based in Toronto. We will be approaching a hybrid model of working, hence a requirement to work in the office at times focusing on client requirements and collaboration. We have a Downtown Toronto office, which could be an option rather than Markham, while Town Halls and Leadership meetings could require in-person attendance at the 3600 Steeles Avenue East location.

Responsibilities
- Create complex taxonomies and ontologies
- Create navigation systems for large enterprises
- Build IA (Information Architecture) and search ecosystems within Microsoft SharePoint
- Be able to work within the CIO organization in an agile environment to design and build a resilient information architecture framework that will support a complex, growing and changing enterprise of 90,000+ employees across the globe
- Be able to work closely with global stakeholders to enable them to build out great experiences according to the standards that you own
- Be a great oral communicator.
- Be technically savvy in the areas of documentation.
- Be capable of researching independently and connecting the dots
- Be proficient in the usage of documentation tools & systems and aware of new technologies, and industry best practices
- Software development skills (with dev/stage/prod release cycle, testing and continuous deployment)
- Conduct research, identify gaps, and design new solutions
- 3+ years of experience building Information Architecture and searching ecosystems within Microsoft SharePoint.
- Solid understanding of information architecture, processes, best practices as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles.
- Design and research work experience or deliverables
- Bachelor's Degree
