CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for a Head of Knowledge Centre and Engagement to join a Net Zero focused team embedded within CBRE GWS EMEA. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of a net zero Technical Reference Centre and supporting marketing strategy.

Role Summary:

  • The postholder will operate as part of the Net Zero leadership team working with colleagues, clients, and industry experts to establish a net zero Technical Reference Centre which is deployed consistently to establish a common understanding and familiarity with net zero and the CBRE processes
  • Development and delivery of an engagement campaign which aligns CBRE knowledge and develops CBRE taxonomy
  • Development of a marketing strategy which reflects net zero transition trends and future scenarios supported by events, sector specific collateral and thought leadership
  • Development of a revenue generating net zero engagement solution for deployment by clients to include events, surveys, and content
  • Engaging with regional industry leadership teams who form part of the client and CBRE supply chain to identify opportunities for a common purpose and to create programmes of transition with demonstrable measurements of success
  • Working with the contract leadership team to prepare and maintain joint risk and opportunity registers signed off by both the Alliance Director and the client representative which reflect the postholders field of expertise and operational remit
  • Developing overarching CBRE programme targets, defining timelines and measurements of success, reflecting new opportunities and emerging risks which can be evidenced quarterly as part of a governance structure
  • Attendance at industry and client events representing CBRE as a senior leader in net zero
  • Support the preparation of business cases both at contract level and centrally when opportunities are identified to increase the scope of activities relating to the Technical Reference Centre and/or engagement services
  • Issue monthly updates to the Sector Managing Director and E & S Director of the programme progress towards targets
  • Manage budget and any programme delays
Experience Required:

  • Experience in roles such as Head of Marketing, or Marketing Director preferably within a technically based industry and operating in a matrix environment
  • Experience of working within global markets across multiple sectors
  • A good understanding of all aspects of sustainability and net zero transition
  • Experience of mobilising new and evolving initiatives within a dynamic market
  • Experience of working collaboratively with internal and external SME’s to shape strategy and drive engagement through common purpose
  • A systemic thinker with the ability to recognise and communicate consistent themes from a complex environment operating in multiple geographies and with varying competencies
  • A competent communicator with the ability to engage audiences and drive engagement  
  • Recruitment and talent management of marketing and communications staff as the function grows
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to effectively present information.
  • Strong PC skills, MS Office
  • Self-motivated and resourceful
  • Good administrative skills
  • Well organised and good prioritisation and planning skills
  • Key focus for this role is to ensure that all FM services are delivered in a confident and efficient manner
  • Service orientated attitude combined with innovative thinking
  • Knowledge and awareness of the facilities management industry
  • Practical experience in working with supply partners to deliver a seamless, integrated service
  • Customer services experience and the ability to communicate at all levels
