Reporting to the Associate University Librarian, Library Academic Services Support, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the discoverability and accessibility of our digital collections. Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent from an ALA-accredited program.
- Experience in metadata creation and management, including familiarity with metadata standards such as MARC, Dublin Core, MODS, etc.
- Knowledge of digital resource management systems and tools, such as integrated library systems (ILS), digital asset management systems (DAMS), and institutional repositories.
- Experience with digital preservation practices and principles.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with trends and developments in digital librarianship and metadata standards.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) or data manipulation tools is an asset.
- Familiarity with linked data principles and practices is an asset.
