As a result of historical acquisitions & legacy local investments, there are a number of various Product Information Management (PIM) solutions across BMI Group. In order to realise efficiencies, create opportunities and enhance the digital customer experience a new, enhanced PIM platform is being created upon which all countries will use as the single source of all product data.

We are now looking for an experienced, focused and dedicated Digital Product Owner in Product Information Management (PIM) to join us on our journey, and take responsibility for setting, prioritising and evaluating the work delivered by the PIM scrum team - in order to ensure it is delivering commercial needs and providing the required business benefits. This will entail the full product cycle, including the market release with effective training and support. The Product Owner will also ensure that digital resources within internal and 3rd party teams delivering BMI’s projects and products work towards agreed business priorities. With a strong commercial focus, this role sits in the digital team.

What you will be doing:

  • Take responsibility for the migration and launch of PIM into all countries in BMI
  • Together with the digital and business management teams set product goals that overachieve against business targets
  • Manage the backlog including defining, writing, elaborating, estimating, ordering or deleting product epic and individual backlog items
  • Perform benefit analysis and make decisions on prioritisation with business users and developers to decide the product direction ensuring product quality
  • Project management (sprints) - get things done and constantly apply a fast ‘test and learn’ approach to releases and updates
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with internal customers and each country to continuously develop the product to overachieve against business targets
  • Develop a roadmap for the product, a high-level release plan and country roll-out plan including training and support
  • Create and communicate the product vision with stakeholders, development teams & users
  • Identify the key business metrics that need to be measured and conduct regular reporting against performance

What you can bring:

  • Strong experience as a Digital Product Owner with an ability to demonstrate an excellent understanding of customer need
  • Demonstrable experience of continuous test and learn approach to digital experience
  • A track record of delivering a quantifiable commercial benefit aligned to core business objectives
  • Experience of managing a product backlog
  • Experience of managing an international agile project as a Product Owner
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an agile scrum environment, ideally as a Product Owner, but possibly as an agile coach or a similar role
  • Skills in managing internal stakeholders and external partners across multiple geographies
  • Understanding and appreciation for software development and design with a solid technical skillset
  • The unconditional will to make your products the best and most successful
  • Strong entrepreneurial thinking and business skills - proactive, goal-oriented, energetic with an independent way of working
  • Experience with ticket systems such as Jira
  • Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal, combined with the ability to work across diverse cultures

Preferred:

  • Experience of SAP Hybris
  • Data-driven
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Experience in estimating the value of software features, and in cost-benefit analysis and constructing business cases
