JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a Digital Information Architect/Taxonomist with data driven and customer mindset to join our team to ensure the proper optimization of the customer experience. The candidate will work cross-functionally with our Data Governance team, Analytics team, and Digital Merchandising to make required changes, define how items are best delivered thru the right attributes driving search and navigation. The candidate will have to understand, apply and evolve the user experience, by leveraging analysis around the digital customer journey. This role reports to the Head of Digital Merchandising EMEA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a Digital Information Architect/Taxonomist with data driven and customer mindset to join our team to ensure the proper optimization of the customer experience. The candidate will work cross-functionally with our Data Governance team, Analytics team, and Digital Merchandising to make required changes, define how items are best delivered thru the right attributes driving search and navigation. The candidate will have to understand, apply and evolve the user experience, by leveraging analysis around the digital customer journey. This role reports to the Head of Digital Merchandising EMEA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create product classification schemas, attributes, and other metadata to improve product findability (browse & search) and product information usability for both internal and external customers.
- Advocate for the development and enhancement of corporate product taxonomy and metadata architecture and data governance standards while keeping with industry best practices.
- Actively seek business partnerships and identify areas of collaboration with other departments, e.g. product management. Provide support and authority for good data management.
- Work independently to represent the DX team in cross-functional projects to understand and disseminate complex technical information to a wider audience.
- Analyze website metrics, customer behavior data and breadth of product range to make intelligent decisions on optimizing our web hierarchy navigation structures across EMEA.
- Work with key stakeholders to define maintenance process and SLAs to ensure web hierarchy remains optimized despite changes in range / brands.
- Expand and refine data retrieval techniques to utilize our extensive product catalog and ensure products appear on site intuitively for our customers.
- Provide regular status reports and metrics to leadership and wider business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-5 years’ experience in taxonomy development, preferably in a PIM platform
- Proven taxonomy & navigation judgement focusing on enhancing customer experience.
- Ability to translate business use cases into good taxonomy design.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Experience working cross-functionally.
- Passion for improving the on-line customer experience.
- Experience using Enterworks Enable highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time to make aggressive deadlines.
- Ability and willingness to execute at all levels, strategic and tactical, to deliver results.
- Comfortable operating in an evolving landscape and matrixed environment, demonstrated composure in a fast-pace environment with a high degree of accountability.
- Demonstrated analytical skills; experience in e-commerce analytic tools and online KPI’s.
- Proven ability for problem solving and senior stakeholder management.
