Position Summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a digitally savvy Digital Commerce Analyst to join the Edrington’s internal digital team, Global Digital Technology (GDT) based in our Glasgow Head Office. Reporting to Digital Commerce Product Owner, this person is accountable for maintenance and continuous improvement of Edrington’s existing digital asset management (DAM) and product information management (PIM) systems.

The role is to deliver a centralised approach which will ultimately streamline a multitude of local executions giving all subscribing markets the visibility into our biggest e-commerce opportunities along with the ability to act on it. The successful candidate will work with all markets globally to ensure their needs are met & appropriately managed within the system.

Job Description

Some other key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Day to day management of both Edrington’s PIM & DAM systems
  • Setting precedent for standards & ensuring data from global & local markets adheres to a prescribed taxonomy
  • Project manage digital pipeline into key sales channels & sellers platforms
  • Liaise with creative to ensure all creative assets are ready for extraction
  • Inform media and system specifications at NPD stage
  • Work with optimisation & brand teams to understand & communicate performance & make data-informed recommendations
  • Lead the day to day management of Edrington’s PIM system including data management, coordinating with regional marketing teams, and acquire a super-user understanding of the system
  • With Digital Content Assistant, continuously audit our PIM / DAM systems to ensure adherence to the established taxonomy
  • Make and execute informed decisions about the taxonomy and information hierarchy of the system to improve the UX, and align information with PIM whilst understanding the far-reaching implications of these changes for markets
  • Audit and amend the metadata fields we currently collect for all incoming media to align with PIM and eventually CMS systems
Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience of digital asset management and managing data taxonomy commensurate with the level of this role. Strong understanding of how content is created, media file types, optimisation for end use as well as confidence to navigate & resolve complex and disparate data sets is highly desirable. You should exhibit outstanding communicative abilities for reporting & educating at varying levels internally.
