Summary and Role Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated Digital Asset Manager to join our marketing operations team. As a Digital Asset Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization, management, and distribution of digital assets within a complex organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, marketing, web, and technology teams, to ensure that all digital assets, including images, videos, audio files, and other multimedia content, are properly cataloged, stored, and easily accessible. Your role will involve managing digital asset libraries, implementing metadata standards, creating, and enforcing digital asset management (DAM) policies, and ensuring the integrity and security of digital assets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Develop and implement digital asset management (DAM) strategies, workflows, and best practices to efficiently organize, manage, and distribute digital assets across the organization.
  • Create and enforce metadata standards and naming conventions for digital assets to ensure consistency, accuracy, and searchability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, marketing, and technology teams, to understand their digital asset needs and provide support in locating and retrieving assets as needed.
  • Maintain and update digital asset libraries, ensuring that assets are properly tagged, categorized, and stored in an organized manner.
  • Monitor and manage digital asset usage rights, permissions, and licenses, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain DAM software and tools, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide training and support to users.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize DAM processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness of digital asset management.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure the integrity, security, and backup of digital assets.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in digital asset management, and make recommendations for improvement and innovation.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in library science, information science, marketing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in digital asset management, including cataloging, metadata management, and digital asset organization.
  • Strong understanding of digital file formats, video codecs, and image resolution and quality.
  • Familiarity with digital asset management software and tools, such as Adobe Experience Manager.
  • Familiarity with marketing and creative processes, including content creation, brand guidelines, and digital marketing strategies.
