Position Summary:

The Asset Manager is a member of the team responsible for working within existing processes to organize and manage creative marketing assets produced by the agency enabling other users to find and share assets.

This position is a mid-level position where the new hire will become the main point of contact between agency partners and agency teams to gather extensive insight into all the creative produced at the agency. Responsible for uploading assets, metadata tagging into Digital Asset Management systems by following established processes, guidelines and standards. Recommend and implement measures to improve work processes.

The Asset Manager will also work directly with clients, U.S. dealers and agency partners who will be looking for our creative in need of securing and repurposing available assets including working with other team members in researching usage rights.

The Asset Manager will lead in the creation of instructional materials and train others in the proper use of submitting and locating assets.  

Accountabilities:

  • Work with agency teams to promote and enable submission of assets.
  • Manage uploads into our Digital Asset Management systems and accurately applying metadata.
  • Ensure the gathering and documenting of all usage rights information associated with motion and/or still productions.
  • Lead in the fulfillment of asset requests in a way that protects the agency from asset misuse.
  • Identify and report on issues impacting the overall performance of agency’s internal DAM systems.
  • Develop instructional materials for all our Digital Asset Management systems and instruct others in the proper use of the systems, locating and submitting assets.
  • Audit assets metadata to assure accuracy of information. Provide reports from audits.
  • Interface with client as required, cross referencing platforms to ensure all appropriate content is accessible.
  • Participate in the continual evolutionary process of our internal DAM tools by identifying ways to streamline functionality and capability.
  • Participate in the process of securing re-use metrics; Report and interpret re-use metrics and patterns on quarterly basis, sight trends.
  • Understand all agency disciplines in order to provide insight / access to agency resources.
  • Remain current of projects underway and future projects that presents opportunity for reuse of existing assets.
  • Develop an understanding of the agency creative process to better understand assets being managed.

Required Experience

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years relevant work experience preferred.
  • Have experience in working with DAM systems.
  • Proven track record of success in mission-critical projects, detail-oriented tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Have a strong knowledge of digital file formats for still and video files.
  • Be comfortable working on a Mac and/or PC.
  • Have experience entering information into a database or information system.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop including layering, color space, file formats.
  • Logical and efficient work style.
  • Composed and self-possessed during challenging assignments.
  • Ability to effectively self-prioritize and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Automotive experience and Agency background a plus.
