DESCRIPTION

Amazon’s Cross-Category, Cross-Channel Marketing (XCM) team is looking for a Digital Asset Manager to support marketing, photography, and video assets across our design and advertising teams. Immediate responsibility of this role will be supporting XCM’s Sr. Digital Asset Manager in the rollout and adoption of a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system for XCM. This will include managing a phased rollout timeline, discussing trade-offs with stakeholders, driving key functionalities of the tool, and building a core taxonomy. This role will own preparation and tagging of assets, creation of dictionaries, and configuration of metadata schemas while performing day-to-day administration of the DAM. Additionally, the role will help increase the quality of the workflow through creation and execution of trainings for the team, maintenance of standards and performance of change management through the lifecycle of the product.

A successful candidate will have asset management experience, knowledge of taxonomy and tagging best practices, a strong understanding of digital file formats, and an organized approach to work. This position will work with customers across multiple teams and disciplines and as such requires strong communication skills, an ability to prioritize and categorize requests, and an understanding of when to escalate or loop in partners and leaders. A background working in creative environments is a strong plus. As this role will be involved in projects with multiple deliverables and stakeholders, the ability to multitask and shift focus on the fly while providing a stable service is required. While this position is a key part of the sustainment of the DAM, it will also be asked to help drive the evolution of the toolset and an ideal candidate would be comfortable sharing ideas and providing inspired solutions that can increase overall efficiency for the larger team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Self-starter that can operate with autonomy and discretion
  • Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise level DAM or CMS solutions
  • Experience managing digital assets including migrations, tagging, and maintaining standards
  • Core knowledge of taxonomies, vocabularies, and general schemas in relation to digital asset management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience or certifications
  • Understanding of video, audio, and image encoding formats and their respective applications
  • Familiarity with design tools including Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Fluent in file naming best practices and enforcement
  • Past experience working inside of project management suites and a sound understanding of their relationship to DAM.
  • Proficient in documentation and utilizing documentation to effect change throughout a team or organization
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, experience educating non-technical stakeholders and working across multiple teams and regions.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to set priorities
  • Customer obsessed with an ability to work cross teams and gather requirements from a variety of partners including creatives, operations, and internal Amazon IT & AWS partners
