DIGITAL ASSET MANAGER

The Digital Asset Manager’s role will be to perform technical work associated with the development and management of the agency's digital asset management system; to document agency-wide standards, workflows, and policies; and to manage the ingestion, organization, and migration of all digital assets contained in legacy systems. This position supports the organization and maintenance of all agency clients' digital assets to facilitate the long-term preservation of and enduring access to still images, video, and audio recordings, text, etc. to support future client initiatives. The successful candidate must have knowledge in digital asset management and demonstrate an enthusiasm to work collaboratively, towards integrating the digital assets across the agency.  

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain new digital asset management system
  • Coordinate and execute migration of current digital assets into new digital asset management system
  • Ensure assets are organized and archived as effectively and efficiently as possible
  • Works closely with creative, production and account management teams at maintaining digital asset library
  • Development and document related digital asset management procedures
  • Prioritize, catalog and perform quality control checks of digital assets into the digital asset management system
  • Develop standardized image asset library tagging system with relevant and accurate metadata/keywords and corresponding taxonomies
  • Track ownership and usage rights for digital assets
  • Provide technical guidance and training
  • Research, recommend and implement hardware and software purchases and configurations to meet client needs
  • Client audit preparation and ongoing compliance management
  • Agency brand asset management
Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years experience working with DAM systems, metadata, taxonomies and tagging images.
  • Familiar with a wide range of digital file formats, digitization, and digital reformatting practices
  • Organized and focused
  • Highly detail-oriented perfectionist
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Problem solving - you may need to do some digging to find the information you need
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
