Position Summary:
The Digital Asset Manager is responsible for the organization and archival of digital production & post-production assets for Instant Brands. This professional works with the Marketing Center of Excellence to ensure files are accurately tagged, securely stored and can be searched in a DAM. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a natural desire to create order from disorder.
What will you do?
The Digital Asset Manager is responsible for the organization and archival of digital production & post-production assets for Instant Brands. This professional works with the Marketing Center of Excellence to ensure files are accurately tagged, securely stored and can be searched in a DAM. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a natural desire to create order from disorder.
What will you do?
- Publishing : Upload final creative content & assets to DAM ensuring that new content is being named correctly and is tagged correctly.
- Entering and maintaining metadata : Auditing folders and content on a daily basis. Correcting misnamed, mis-tagged/untagged content and providing guidance for users regarding metadata. Verifying user compliance.
- Training, adoption and gathering user feedback : Front-line support for DAM users by promoting, training and supporting the users of the system, as well as ongoing training to keep up-to-date on system functionality.
- Migrating / Archiving : Responsible for any migration efforts of legacy content or new business unit content. Also, in charge of exporting and archiving content according to business rules.
- Determining and implementing best practices: Provide ongoing optimization recommendations, system improvements and ongoing process changes; always be on the lookout for more efficient strategies
- Routine system performance analysis and annual system performance auditing: Looking at key areas like search performance and user experience (UX). Take user feedback into account to continuously improve system performance for the team and implement changes.
- Working with outside stakeholders: Agencies, retail partners, the media, consultants — all of these stakeholders may need access to digital assets, and develop a plan to ensure brand consistency is met.
- Working with development/IT stakeholders: The DAM Librarian will act as project manager for any development efforts between external creative/production agencies, development partners and internal teams as needed
- Assist in assigning roles and permissions: Coordinating user permissions and access management with the Marketing COE
- This position is not static and will be revised as the need of the organization’s business evolves.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or relevant experience
- 3-5+ years of asset management experience in major organization(s)
- Experience in program or project management, delivering cross functional projects working closely with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience identifying and implementing digital asset management efficiencies within business units.
- Ability to optimize workflows and applications to help maximize cost savings
- Experience establishing digital asset cataloging and metadata standards strategy
- Solid knowledge of media Digital Rights Management (DRM)
- This is a (full-time exempt position that is not eligible for overtime
