We’re seeking a Digital Asset Manager to join the Creative team. This will be an integral part of our growing day-to-day operations and offer the opportunity to work collaboratively on projects yet maintain an individual focus on quality control. You’ll primarily handle two of the main forms of media we produce -- photo and graphics -- and be the central point of contact for all asset management questions across the company. The role will report to our Senior Photo Retoucher and work closely with a large range of co-workers who interact with our imagery on a daily basis including our Project Managers, Designers, Retouchers, and Creative Operations Manager.

Ideally, you’re extremely detail-oriented with awesome time management skills, and will ensure image optimization and quality across all of our platforms. We want someone who’s interested in creating a more efficient environment for our assets, while being a resource and guide for those who need access to them - which are many! This job is a remote position with the opportunity to work in our office in the future.

  • Maintenance and enforcement of our content taxonomy and file-naming structure within WebDAM, iterating as needed to make our system as efficient as possible
  • Manage our photography and design content, assigning metadata and keywords, uploading, archiving and retrieving content, while overseeing permissions and usage rights
  • Manage all asset requests from internal and external sources while ensuring timely delivery
  • Work in tandem with our Project Managers to foresee production bottlenecks with campaign execution. This position will be the primary quality control expert to ensure the correct assets are being utilized by stakeholders across the company
  • Compile asset data reports (downloads, uploads, usage, most popular assets, etc.)
  • Create and maintain user guides and best practices, as well as register and train users on how to utilize our platforms
  • Work to clean up our current archives on the server along with our asset management platform

  • 2+ years experience in digital asset management
  • Knowledge of a variety of asset types
  • Knowledge of taxonomy standards (a background in commerce is helpful; a variety of projects in this role will tie directly back to Food52’s online shop)
  • Able to navigate workflows across numerous interdependent departments (Marketing, Commerce, Brand Partnerships, and Editorial in particular)
  • Capable of managing many concurrent projects at once with a self-starter and proactive attitude
  • Photoshop and InDesign skills are a plus
  • A passion for our content and a willingness to learn!

  • Competitive salary
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefit options (including some that are free for you!), flexible spending account, and any-time access to professional mental health advice
  • Annual bonus plan
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Free life and AD&D insurance
  • Unlimited vacation days (including two company-wide weeks off for Summer Week & Winter Week!)
  • Discounted gym memberships and a free Citibike membership
  • Pre-tax commuter benefit plan
  • Flexible hours and working arrangements
  • So many snacks!
