As a News Intern, you will be helping CoStar Research consolidate imagery and develop informational systems. You will be helping our team in collecting and preparing visual assets, developing metadata systems and applying data to media to grow and organize CoStar Collective DAM library. CoStar’s Research Team has one of the largest full-time teams of architectural photographers capturing world-class photography. We’re looking for a motivated intern who can find new ways to leverage DAM technology for our stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Refine and maintain a metadata entry protocol. Work with Creative director, News, various stakeholders across the enterprise to refine metadata and taxonomy guidelines. Actively promote data consistency to support common standards and analytics
  • Establish periodic metadata verification review processes to ensure data accuracy and to support easy and consistent search and delivery of assets
  • Perform regular uploads from One Drive to grow CoStar Collective library and assist CoStar’s Architectural Photographers and News designers with asset migration and consolidation. Assets include CoStar captured media and stock images (Getty, iStock, etc)
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support and advance the development of the DAM vision, guiding principles, prioritized use cases/end-user experiences, high-level requirements, and roadmap
  • Craft a 1, 2 and 3-year roadmap for incremental process improvements and DAM strategic direction
  • Facilitate decisions and the creation of a tactical plan surrounding implementation of target state processes and technology (including migration of content and existing/enhanced processes and tools)
  • Process imagery into quality data products such as high-resolution photos, videos, and illustration.
  • Improve DAM operations management and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Help establish best practice relative to mission planning.
  • Occasionally, provide graphic support with developing visuals for social media
Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of at least one year of college level work from an accredited institution with current enrollment
  • 1+ years of experience processing and cataloging visual content including photos, videos, and associated meta-data
  • 1+ years of experience with Digital Asset Management solutions such as Widen, Libris, Byder or similar
  • 1+ years of experience with Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience with developing graphic formats for Social Media desired
  • Strong digital asset management and organizational skills and the ability to speak and write clearly, concisely, and compellingly
