 Overview

Chick-fil-A is at the inception of building an In-house agency. Hundreds of creative assets are being developed weekly across the chain leveraging wide-spread resources from local independent shops to Agency of Record. We are seeking an experienced and technically savvy Digital Asset Management (DAM) Cybrarian with a proven ability to implement and manage Digital Asset Management systems. This leader is critical to the infrastructure; responsible for effectively uploading, storing and tagging assets, ensuring proper legal cataloging of terms and usage for all creative assets and vendor partners as well as delivering final files to media partners.

Through a Digital Asset Management solution (DAM), the DAM Cybrarian will manage and maintain all visual content including videos, photos, images, logos and customizable templates along with the correlating usage rights files.  The Cybrarian will be the captain of the DAM system centralizing all assets and therefore boosting efficiency, consistency and keeping our brand on track by identifying the most current content for the field and Staff.  A person with a love for all things metadata with strong attention to detail would thrive in this role.

Reporting to the Creative Operations leader, they will engage daily with the in-house agency team, stakeholders across Marketing and potentially other departments; as well as have direct contact with media partners responsible for receiving assets and delivering to vendors. Seeking a tech-minded leader with an understanding of creative production. This professional track role is self-sufficient as an expert specialist supporting the operations and production departments technically.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementation and workflow of all digital assets alongside technology leads and internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for defining information architectures, taxonomies, metadata schema, controlled vocabularies and other data management techniques
  • Boost the findability factor by smart-tagging and organization to improve discoverability and retrieval
  • Responsible for managing customizable template system, including uploading of assets and templates, prioritizing needs and continued maintenance and development of user experience
  • Solely responsible for maintaining a streamlined DAM by entering metadata correctly and archiving older versions of files as updated assets become available
  • Serves as the point of contact in Chick-fil-A’s In-House Agency, fielding requests for various deliverables and working with designers to distribute accurate assets
  • Collaborates with business partners and end users in managing digital assets from inception to storage and resurfacing
  • Verifies end user eligibility for access to and distribution of materials
  • Maintains a high standard of excellence for end-user experiences, constantly consulting with and enhancing Operator and Restaurant Marketing Director usability
  • Develops and recommends how information should be organized for efficient and effective retrieval
  • Provides training support to power-users and key stakeholders
  • Monitors usage and empowered to make system and content changes to help expansion of DAM to broader marketing department
  • Partners with software vendor on system issues and enhancements
  • Oversight of contractors that also assist in custom template development and asset upload
  • Works with external agencies to store all Intellectual Property created for Chick-fil-A
Qualities:

  • Strong time management skills with the motivation to work independently and efficiently
  • Familiar with the creative production process and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Good interpersonal skills to build working relationships
  • Ability to balance multiple requests against inflexible deadlines
  • Comfortable training power-users and key stakeholders in person or virtual training
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Agency experience a plus
  • Takes initiative to ensure a positive User Experience for the system
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • A team player who can take initiative, understands how to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving organization
  • Excellent client relationship skills and experience working with high touch clients
  • Confident to make recommendations and jump in to help where/as needed
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Library Science or Information Science
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing communications or agency environment
  • 2+ years of experience working with a Digital Asset Management solution for a large organization (>100 people)
  • Experience managing a DAM workflow including metadata tagging
  • Experience developing taxonomies and metadata structures
  • Experience working in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Must be accustomed to working in a fast-paced agency environment, fulfilling requests from multiple stakeholders
