We are currently hiring a Digital Asset Management (DAM) Specialist in Boston, MA or Remote.

The Boston Beer Company is looking for Digital Asset Management (DAM) Specialist that will be responsible for managing our new DAM platform and the lifecycle of all creative digital assets (packaging and point of sale (POS) images, photography, artwork, video, etc.) across our all brands with emphasis on capturing, tagging, organizing, distributing, and archiving assets. The DAM specialist will regulate the influx of new digital assets into the DAM system. This role will also assist in setting up asset catalogs, organizing collections of promotional material, creating, and enforcing naming taxonomies and metadata schema, tagging files with relevant and accurate metadata, and ensuring dependable and traceable distribution to users, agencies and vendors. The DAM Specialist will also identify and implement system improvements, as well as regulating processes and training users on the platform.

What You'll Do:

Lead and identify Digital Asset Management (DAM) system improvement projects:

  • API Connection, app functionality, filtering improvements, organizational audits, Power BI, etc.
  • Setting and benchmarking digital KPI’s
  • Have vision for future state of system
  • Find usage cases: what other assets can exist on the DAM, i.e. internal comms, trainings, private sharing between 2 people, etc.
  • New system requirements like diversity and inclusion, sales trainings, etc.
Lead BAM Team support:
    
  • Running regular meetings
  • Communication and collaboration cross-functionally
  • Support Brands on their needs from the DAM
  • Understanding asset lifecycles to keep the system up to date, i.e. Sam Seasonals
  • Internal vs external publishing channels
  • Understanding the brand to sales force connection
  • Establish relationship with sales force
  • Hear feedback on time saving system improvements
Lead DAM Function support:

  • Route emails sent to BAM@bostonbeer.com to necessary receiver
  • Provide examples of common issues, missing asset, SSO, general troubleshooting
  • Understand legalities of partnerships with Boston Beer and Terms of Contract within brand and sharing of assets limitations. Ex: NHL, Red Sox
  • Record issues and their solutions
  • Provide analytics-based solution
  • Point of publishing into the system
  • Accurate and consistent metadata for all assets across the board which makes finding an asset faster for both brand and sales
  • Take charge of education on the DAM, running orientation presentations
  • Organize expanding portfolio of assets
  • Approve new users
What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree or related degree in project management
  • 3+ years of proven experience in digital production/digital asset management
  • Strong knowledge of DAM, ADA, metadata taxonomy, and SEO best practices, strategy principles and concepts for assets and digital content
  • Experience with asset curation, with at least 3 years experience in DAM administration
  • Solid knowledge of media Digital Rights Management (DRM)
  • Sound experience in data governance, standards and process development
  • Solid ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics or other tool, HTML/CSS, JIRA or other project management tool, SEO Implementation, and Work Front
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with APIs; innovative and logical thinker
  • Strong ability to perform core project management documentation, including Statements of Work and Business Requirements Documentation, and authoring Status Reports
  • Well organized and highly structured individual, with ability to give attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to apply data in providing solutions and driving strategic business decisions
  • Profound project management skills
