The Digital Asset Management Solutions Architect is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Digital Asset Management system including troubleshooting, end-user training, and ongoing data manipulation and conversion of assets.

This position can be 100% remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with internal team members to develop our digital asset management strategy, integrating the DAMS into all relevant business processes.
  • Masters the organization’s digital asset management platform, managing user access, and providing support and training to help ensure accessibility and ease-of-use for both internal and external stakeholders. Creates end-user training documents.
  • Performs digital asset lifecycle maintenance activities.
  • Fulfills asset requests, as necessary, for both internal and external stakeholders. May be required to effect changes to assets to meet specifically requested file requirements.
  • Responsible for how internal/external stakeholders and qualified external collaborators can access, use, and interact with the company’s digital assets.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of workflow systems for the organization while documenting best practices.
  • Contributes to best practices and monitors implementation.
  • Document system defects in bug tracking system, monitors bug resolutions, and verifies fixes. Assists in updating content in Git.
  • Investigates, tests, and debugs complex issues within our digital asset management system.

  • Application of sound business principles related to information science, library science, or archive management.
  • Be ready to share your understanding of asset curation within a digital asset management system.
Within your first month, you’ll:

  • Build foundational knowledge of our organizational structure, products, processes and associated assets.
  • Gain a clear understanding of our current digital asset management system.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of a new, more robust DAM system.
Within your first year, you’ll:

  • Build a solid knowledge of our products and processes and assist in developing and documenting the digital asset management strategy for the organization.
  • Play a critical role in facilitating the implementation of a new digital asset management system, developing support documentation, and providing training to new groups of users.
  • Acquire an In-depth understanding of editorial processes and workflows.  
Supervisory Responsibilities:

NONE

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors’ degree in information technology, analytics, computer science, or related field of study.
  • Minimum of 5 year solution development experience
  • Experience with DAMS, CMS and headless CMS systems
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite; InDesign, InCopy, Acrobat, Photoshop, and Bridge preferred.
  • Experience in the field of DAMS, CMS, workflow, or editorial systems preferred.
  • Advanced understanding and experience with HTML5, CSS, XML, XSLT, XPATH, JavaScript, JSON, SQL, and the administration of complex software systems.
  • Solution-oriented and can grasp complex topics quickly.
