The Digital Asset Management (DAM) system at Lands’ End is a strategic enterprise solution with some exciting initiatives being planned, and we’re looking for a DAM enthusiastic intern to help support our big picture objectives. As a DAM Intern in the Lands’ End Global Creative Operations department, you’ll work closely with our DAM Specialist to organize and manage assets in our global creative digital asset library throughout the asset lifecycle (ingest to archive), conduct research, and optimize our DAM.
Furthermore, you’ll gain exposure to a new and rapidly growing industry (DAM), learn a complex and sophisticated DAM tool, and acquire knowledge of best practices for optimizing ROI of a digital asset—from findability and discoverability, to reuse (create once, publish many), to measuring performance for data-driven decisions.
To be successful as an intern, you should be willing to help with tasks as assigned by a supervisor, as well as be able to work independently. You’ll be involved in strategic projects, in addition to the day-to-day DAM responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:
- Assist with managing large volumes of creative digital assets.
- Learn and follow metadata best practices.
- Support internal and external DAM users.
- Assist DAM team with creating and updating documentation of best practices of digital asset management at Lands’ End.
- Audit automated and user inputted metadata.
- Evaluate and optimize DAM for greater findability and reuse of assets, system integrations potential, and user engagement and adoption.
- Junior or Senior year undergraduate student.
- Relevant areas of study may include digital asset management, library science, database management, data governance, information architecture, information science, or archivist.
- Basic understanding of classification/categorization principles.
- Basic understanding of metadata.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Well organized and highly structured, with ability to give attention to detail.
- Eager to learn and work with various departments in the company.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
