Digital Asset Management Intern

What you would be a part of:

Focus on the Family’s Content Development Division exists to manage and organize content for the ministry (Film, Audio, Magazine and Book) to support ministry KMI’s and ministry omni-channel communications.  As an intern in this area you will work to assist with training, content ingestion and DAM library services. Additionally, you will assist with identifying process and system optimizations, and assisting the DAM Team in implementing continuous improvements.  Skills learned in this diverse support function will give you a broader understanding of what it takes to produce and manage FOTF content through the confluence of people, processes and technology.

What a day in the life looks like:

  • Work with Media Publishing Director and Digital Asset Management Director to further develop and roll out the Digital Asset Management system
  • Work with other content development departments to discover and document their content development process in preparation for adoption and training in DAM
  • Work in systems for ingesting archival content in bulk
  • Help with Digital Asset Management framework by assessing current and future opportunities

Our goals are for you to:

  • Be introduced to Content Development channels, Creative Execution, Content Lifecycle from Ideation to Archive and processes.
  • Learn about Digital Asset Management systems and processes
  • Gain a broader understanding of marketing, content, and creative execution methodology and participate in the on-going diplomatic work of integrating with different parts of the business
  • Gain hands-on experience with Digital Asset Management and the role it plays today and tomorrow in ministry impact and efficiency

What makes you a good fit for the Content Development Division:

  • Taking courses in Business management, Technology, Library or Data Sciences, or similar
  • Experience with project management and ability to organize lots of data
  • Interested in Marketing, Content Development and Communication
  • Familiarity with creative and content channels (Print, WEB, Social Audio and Video)

Additional Notes:

This position is an intern position only.  There will be no compensation or pay with this position, but an honorarium will be provided, workday lunch, and housing for out of town students in need.

Only upperclassmen college students need apply.

Transportation is the responsibility of the intern and may be a condition of acceptance.
