Digital Asset Management (DAM)- Technical Product Lead - Adobe AEM

As part of an exciting expansion of our Global Marketing Operations function, we are seeking an experienced Global Digital Asset Management 'Technical Product' Lead to spearhead ThoughtWorks content operations practices across the newly purchased Adobe Experience Cloud product suite. You will be a member of the Global Digital Marketing team and report directly to the Global Digital Content Team Lead. In this role you will drive the standards and processes that support content editors and designers, including permissions, content workflows and approvals, asset management including folders, metadata, taxonomy, and content analytics.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of content, editors/designers' ways of working, and content workflows, to maximise content findability, relevance, accuracy, and usage for internal and/or external audiences.

You will be part of a fast growing marketing team and get the opportunity to work with global and regional team members, across brand communications, customer marketing, and Recruitment marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Operationalise the content lifecycle management in Adobe Experience Manager, from creation and editing through to approvals, publishing, expiration, maintenance, auditing, and measurement
  • Create standardised processes for our Digital Asset Manager (AEM DAM)
  • Develop taxonomies and metadata schemas for organising information on the basis of business goals and stakeholder requirements
  • Guide content editors and designers on possible auto content curation, personalisation, and A/B testing that is powered by the site and asset taxonomy
  • Govern automations that support dynamic asset and content management that aligns with corporate brand guidelines
  • Contribute to search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) initiatives
  • Align taxonomies and folder structure across other marketing systems like the Video streaming tool, or non-marketing systems like CRM, and Knowledge management when required
  • Drive translations strategy and processes in our DAM and CMS
  • Coordinate daily content asset intake and retrieval
  • When required, connect the content / asset creation workflow to a project / content management tool
  • Train and support content editors, designers, and the marketing analytics team with various aspects of the platform including workflows, asset management, brand portal, personalisation, and A/B testing
  • Evaluate digital assets for archiving, research rights issues, and maintain quality control of archiving operations
  • Compile and maintain a detailed content inventory and content analytics
  • Conduct regular audits and surveys to identify gaps and make recommendations
  • Monitor system usability and storage utilisation to prevent an unexpected price increase
  • Encourage user adoption


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in content management, website production, Information Architecture, digital asset management, or related roles
  • Deep expertise working with the Adobe Experience Manager Product suite (core CMS and DAM)
  • Ability to map content to the buyer’s and candidate journey
  • Ability to manage content, audit inventory, taxonomy, metadata, and content tagging
  • Expert understanding of metadata and taxonomy applications, structured content standards, and best practices for system navigation content organisation, search and retrieval, and content management measurement
  • Strong understanding of content development and activation processes and workflows
  • Strong understanding of content user needs
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of asset types
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and rights management
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in change management and training teams on new content operations models and systems
  • Tremendous attention to detail and accuracy, and excellent organisation when managing file structures
  • Familiarity with the B2B technology market, including relevant services and vertical marketing is a bonus
  • Degree in related field of study such as library and information science or technical communications is a bonus
