Job Description

The digital asset librarian applies content management and organizational expertise to maximize content findability, relevance, accuracy, and usage for internal and/or external audiences. This role champions users, supports content contributors, and manages content assets and integrated content feeds (metadata tagging, indexing, cataloging, updating, archiving).

The digital asset librarian is an essential role for maintaining and expanding large and growing digital asset management (DAM) systems (i.e. Adobe Creative Cloud and Box), content management systems (CMS - DPR’s Get Work Portal – Foundations), and customer relationship management (CRM) system (Cosential). This role stands at the intersection of multiple technologies and processes pertaining to content development, approval, storage, distribution, and analysis. Therefore, technical ability, organizational skills, attention to detail, clear communication, and fast learning are essential components.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with content team to develop processes and standards asset management to ensure content is updated and accurate. Manage the execution of the process.
  • Manage and organize assets based on metadata schemas for organizing information resources based on business goals and stakeholder requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and surveys to identify gaps and make recommendations. Identify holes or missing information and coordinate with the appropriate teams/individuals to populate and/or edit data.
  • Perform quality assurance audits across the marketing systems (DAM, CMS, CRM).
  • Prepare a long-term plan for categorizing, indexing, and archiving content and information resources.
  • Select and tag content into the DAM system, CMS and CRM to facilitate management and retrieval; consolidate content from multiple repositories.
  • Coordinate daily content asset intake and retrieval.
  • Train and support content contributors
  • Work with regional market teams to ensure project data is updated in CRM and tagged with metadata as needed.
  • Compile and maintain a detailed content inventory and content analytics
  • Monitor system usability and adoption
  • Develop newsletter and maintain newsletter showcasing recently created or relevant content.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or library and information science (with a passion for marketing). Three to five years’ experience in content management, digital asset management, or related roles.
Skills:

  • Excellent collaboration and consensus-building skills
  • Written communications and presentation
  • Ability to organize, analyze, and report on data from multiple systems using a variety of data analysis, normalization, and visualization tools
  • Excellent PC skills and familiarity with Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint. Bonus for familiarity with Adobe Create Cloud.
  • Excellent organization when managing file structures, transfers, and storage
  • Ability to manage content audit and inventory, metadata, and content tagging
  • Ability to handle publishing and content management tools
