We are seeking a Digital Asset Librarian to join our Creative Services department and contribute to our award-winning creative teams. The Digital Asset Librarian will oversee the taxonomy, metadata, and classification of digital assets so that they’re easily accessible by all in Creative Services.

Who you will be working with:

Reports to the Premedia Manager in Sunderland, Vermont. Interfaces daily with creative directors, project managers, designers, production designers, copywriters, photography operations, internal stakeholders, and external partners. This is an individual contributor role.

Work can be done remotely if internet bandwidth supports managing large photo and video files under deadline. Office space will be available in our Sunderland, VT office as needed.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage the life cycle of all digital assets (photo and video)
  • Develop and maintain governance of metadata standards, DAM folder structure, and taxonomy
  • Manage asset intake and distribution
  • Gather/upload/tag assets from a variety of sources in a timely, well-organized manner to meet deadlines
  • Research and gather information for metadata from multiple sources
  • Stay informed of the latest business needs and trends and conduct routine user experience research to ensure the metadata structure and taxonomy is meeting the needs of all users
  • Implement routine archiving practices
  • Serve as point person for asset inquiries
  • Help train new and existing users, provide support as needed
Experience we are looking for:

  • Working knowledge of AEM Assets, Adobe Workfront, ShotFlow, and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Strong knowledge and organization of DAM systems
  • Previous experience in a creative agency or team delivering assets for digital and print needs
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • A sense of urgency with deadline orientation
  • Proven success with applying consistent and accurate work to large number of files
  • Positive, productive partnerships with all involved in projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 2-4 years prior experience working with digital assets as an archivist or librarian
  • Information & Library Science degree or equivalent experience
