We are seeking a full time Digital Asset Librarian at our headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. In this role, you will provide organizational talent in the development and maintenance of a digital asset management system. You will ingest, categorize, maintain and distribute images, video files, graphics and other applicable resources to worldwide Garmin organization. Other essential functions include:

  • Ingest images into Digital Asset Management platform – Adobe Experience Manager
  • Catalog and categorize images
  • Accurately enter meta data for each asset
  • Maintain and clean database and associated directories to ensure smooth operation
  • Update catalog as assets are discontinued and/or revised
  • Archive out-of-date assets in a retrievable structure
  • Interface with U.S. and overseas facilities
  • Assist with image requests for all members of Marketing Communications, Marketing, various other Garmin departments
  • Aid in training on the DAM system
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualified candidates for this role will possess a high school diploma or GED, and the following experience and skills:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Asset Management system
  • Demonstrated proficient computer skills using Adobe Photoshop and some knowledge of Web publishing techniques
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the application of pre-press production methods and final production follow through
  • Demonstrated knowledge of web asset types and specifications
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision
Candidates with a college degree in library sciences or  at least 1 year experience as a digital asset librarian in a corporate, marketing or photographer’s studio is preferred.
