Due to our continued growth, our Research and Development team now have an opportunity for a Data Manager based in our Cambridge office, supporting our new product development teams and working closely with the Product Data Integration Team to support the collection, handling and integration of new product data into the catalogue, and ensure consistent, comprehensive and accurate information for customers and internal stakeholders.

About you:
You will have a BSc in Biology or a related subject, as an understanding of our products will be a key part of the role, along with at least 2 years’ experience in a fast paced industry environment. It goes without saying that you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. You have worked with large datasets and have the ability to learn new systems quickly and understand how systems integrate data across multiple processes. You have been involved in change programmes and have a flexible approach, able to work across multiple functions and stakeholders to bring together an improved and effective process.
It is possible that you have experience using or knowledge of databases and systems such as Uniprot and PIMCORE and have some experience with bioinformatics. You may also have knowledge and understanding of Work Structures / Routings within an ERP system and how they affect the manufacturing process along with some automation experience.

Role & Responsibilities include:
- Understand the process of creating a new product in our catalogue, from the materials required to the information required to be entered into the product catalogue
- Establish the process to collate all necessary data for new products and work flow from the ERP (Oracle) through to our product information management (PIM) system software
- Day-to-day responsibilities include data input and management into Oracle to support various manufacturing processes
- Perform detail-oriented tasks that focus on developing and optimising product data attributes, data structure and taxonomy across a range of life science product categories
- Carry out data input in a timely manner with high attention to detail
- Develop expertise in the company’s product information management (PIM) system software
- Mentor internal users on ideal product category data definitions, data preparation and system use
- Support data management needs for new product development and release to customers
- Create work structures and routings for the new ERP system
- Create Bill of Materials structures
- Will suggest ways to ensure the effective flow of the systems, processes and operations
