We are looking for a Data Dictionary Glossary Analyst to:

  • Act as a guardian for the Group Data Dictionary
  • Enforce standards for good quality dictionary components and monitor those standards through controls
  • Support initiatives to integrate other Data Dictionaries and work with Group Technology to develop a Group Wide Domain Model to anchor all data across the enterprise

Your team

You will be working in Group Operations within the Data Management Office (DMO). This role sits within the Domain and Taxonomy Team, which operates out of London. The DMO is responsible for embedding a data management culture into the organization by advocating for our strategy and proactively challenging the way the firm works with data. The DMO is made up of approximately 100 people, comprising UBS permanent staff, contractors and consultants. The team is primarily located in London, Weehawken, Zurich, Bangalore and Pune.

Your expertise

  • At least 5 years of experience in Financial Services, preferably within a business facing data function
  • Knowledge of financial services products and services across one or more business lines
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to tailor your style to your audience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both written and oral, able to tailor style to your audience
  • A good understanding of data dictionaries and how they are defined
  • An understanding of data models and entity relationships
