We are seeking a skilled and experienced part-time Digital Asset Management (DAM) Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of our client's DAM initiatives.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, creative, IT, and content production, to implement and optimize DAM solutions that streamline asset organization, retrieval, and distribution. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in project management, DAM best practices, and an understanding of creative workflows.

This is a fully remote, contract position and will be 20 hours of work per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Scope Definition:
    • Work with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, scope, and success criteria.
    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with marketing, creative, IT, and other relevant teams to understand their DAM requirements and pain points.
    • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Vendor Selection and Solution Design:
    • Evaluate DAM solutions/vendors based on business needs, scalability, and integration capabilities.
    • Contribute to the design of the DAM solution architecture, metadata schemas, and user access workflows.
  • Project Execution:
    • Lead the execution of the DAM project according to the established project plan.
    • Manage project risks and issues, proactively identifying and addressing potential roadblocks.
    • Monitor project progress, ensuring milestones are met, and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Change Management:
    • Develop and execute change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of the DAM system across the organization.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Define and implement quality control measures to ensure data integrity, metadata accuracy, and asset compliance.
    • Conduct regular audits to maintain the quality of assets within the DAM system.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Create regular project status reports for stakeholders and management, highlighting progress and key metrics.
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, specifications, and user guides.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date with DAM industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance the DAM system's functionality and efficiency based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
Qualifications:

  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Marketing, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager, preferably in DAM or content management projects.
  • Strong understanding of DAM concepts, best practices, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with creative workflows, marketing processes, and content production lifecycles.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and dynamic environment.
