Exciting opportunity for a Domain Architect to take ownership for the Content domain with respect to design and architectural roadmap.

Content refers to and includes Product Information Management, Content Management (including Publishing) and Digital Asset Management  as well as other related business processes and systems supporting Canon’s marketing websites.

You will have responsibility for the Marketing Services architecture while ensuring alignment with the business objectives as well as supporting the Marketing Services teams through delivery and operation.

The role  will include activities such as - defining, maintaining and driving implementation of the target domain architecture and give guidance to project teams in solution design and delivery compliant with the target architecture.

The role plays a key part in the DevOps transition and the role requires an operations and delivery excellence mindset.

  • Actively support and consult all projects within domain as a member of the project design authority PDA.
  • Lead or support creation of project architecture direction in the vision statement of new initiatives.
  • Develop stakeholder relationships through working closely with business stakeholders (e.g. Generation business sponsors, business process group) and develop an intimate understanding of the business value chain and business processes.
  • Own, define and maintain as-is and target domain architecture (for a 7 year horizon) aligned to business and IT priorities. Ensure domain architecture consistency across the various initiatives/projects is supported by the domain.
  • Own, define and maintain a roadmap to achieve the target state for the domain. Work with business and IT stakeholders to define and align a portfolio of projects to deliver the roadmap. Sponsor new projects with significant architectural impact through approval in the Architecture Board.
  • Lead the solution architecture definition and technology development roadmap translating client business requirements into fit for purpose solutions.
  • Review as-is domain architecture and identify and action areas for improvement.
  • Own integrations, customisations and interfaces such as aligning with other architects, be single face to the delivery teams for all solutions on integrations and landscape. Own Interface catalogues to define business continuity and business impact.
What we ask

  • Strong experience of domain application architecture
  • Commercial awareness of key business drivers within domain
  • Sound business knowledge in domain
  • Extensive experience working on Digital projects in an architectural role on major Digital Transformation projects with a focus on Sales, Marketing and Service at a Consultancy, FMCG, Retail or other large corporates with ideally a B2C focus.
  • Experience of a variety of methodologies especially  Agile delivery methods
  • Experience in managing other architects and delegating work across a team
  • Experience with Sales, Marketing and Service architecture, , digital marketing, MDM, integration, migration, web infrastructure, functional & technical design and development, configuration, testing and release management
  • Professional experience will all aspects of an IT project from design through development, testing, implementation, and production
  • Professional experience with key applications and technologies in Digital (e.g. Content Management, DAM and PIM)
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, being able to see the "big picture"
  • Gravitas to be a trusted advisor for business and IT sponsors and other stakeholders
